On weeknights the U-Bahn stops around midnight and the N-numbered NightLine buses take over. The same ticket is valid.
No S-Bahn between Praterstern and the Hauptbahnhof, and no S-Bahn at Wien Mitte. For the airport take the Railjet from the Hauptbahnhof, the CAT (running as a coach) or a Vienna Airport Bus.
Wiener Linien now sells single rides, 24-hour and 7-day tickets. For exactly two or three days, the 48- or 72-hour Vienna City Card fills the gap.
Autumn is the best season in Vienna's vineyards. Look for the pine bush and the “Ausg'steckt” sign over the gate — it means the tavern is open.
Places that publish opening hours and are open at this moment, Vienna time. Hours come from each venue's Google listing — always worth a glance at their own site before a long trip across town, and doubly so for a Heuriger, many of which open only on rotating weeks.
